If you are experiencing issues with the battery charging of your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P5100 / P5110, probably the device’s MicroUSB charging port is damaged . In this article, we will help you to repair it by yourself!
What you need:
- USB connector for Galaxy Tab 2
- Plastic opening tools
- Phillips screwdriver
STEP 1 Insert a plastic tool between the display and the frame. Use that as a lever for the entire perimeter of the tablet. It ‘s very important not to apply excessive force, since we risk damaging the glass.
STEP 2 Remove the two screws holding the microusb connector; with a plastic tool, tear out the microphone which is located to the left of the microUsb connector.
STEP 3 With a plastic tool, disconnect the flex cable from the motherboard.
STEP 4 Extract the flex cable and remove the rubber protection from the microphone, which will be fitted in the new flex cable.
STEP 5 Insert the new USB charging port conector and reassemble the device.
Done! The repair is completed!
